Tasman Helicopters Ltd. commenced operations in April 1989 with one Bell 205A-1 helicopter. This has evolved to the present fleet totaling 7 helicopters , which includes 4 Bell 212, 1 Bell 205A-1++ and 2 Bell 407 helicopters. The company is privately owned and operates from a head office and dedicated maintenance hangar located at Boundary Bay Airport, Delta BC.

Tasman Helicopters provides helicopter services for resource exploration (Seismic Survey), Forestry, Forest Fire Suppression, Movies, Heli-Skiing, Aid Reconstruction Projects and other specialized international services.

Over the past fifteen years the company has fulfilled forest fire suppression contracts in the United States, France, Spain, Italy and Australia utilizing tank equipped Bell 212 helicopters.
